New Developments at PAUMC
I shared a message entitled, ?Faith Is Spelled R.I.S.K.? during the weekend services on December 3rd and 4th. If you weren‘t able to be with us that weekend, I invite you to listen to this message on our church website at paumconline.org or pick up a copy of the CD at our Welcome Center. Some of the key points of this message are:
- We are moving toward the goal of launching a satellite ministry of our church at a new site in September, 2012. Many details about this exciting new ministry are still unclear, but we have felt a clear “whisper” of God‘s Spirit to move in this direction and we plan to be obedient to God. One Church-Two Locations is the emphasis of this new adventure.
- We have introduced a special Living Beyond Myself Christmas Offering which will be received now through January, 2012. This offering will be shared between the support of our 2012 Food Cupboard Ministry and the launch of our new site.
- We will be having one 10:00 am service on Sunday mornings instead of the two services effective January 1, 2012. (The Saturday Fresh Start 6:11 Service will continue as is.)
I would also like to explain one additional change to you. We have decided to phase out our numbered, boxed offering envelopes in favor of new Business Reply Mail envelopes which will be available in the weekly worship programs and in the Chronicle. This means it will be all the more important for you to write your name on your envelope each time you give to the Lord through PAUMC.
I am excited to continue the adventure of being your pastor in our 14th year together. I believe God is directing us in all of these transitions! I am confident that He will continue to lead us as we seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness in the months to come!
